About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Child Protection Caseworker. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of reports of child safety concerns and develop effective safety plans to protect vulnerable children and young people.
  • Work collaboratively with families, other agencies, and stakeholders to provide support and guidance to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and coordination.
  • Participate in court processes, including the preparation of court documents and attending court, to ensure the best interests of children and young people are represented.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the effective delivery of child protection services.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, social science, or a related field, with a strong understanding of child protection principles and practices.
  • Proven experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and families, with a strong focus on safety and well-being.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • A valid driver's license and a paid working with children clearance number.
