We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Child Protection Caseworker to join our team at the NSW Department of Communities and Justice. As a Child Protection Caseworker, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in our community.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to reports of safety concerns surrounding children or young people who may have been harmed.
- Work collaboratively with families, other agencies, and stakeholders to develop and implement safety plans.
- Conduct home visits and assessments to identify and address safety and well-being concerns.
- Develop and maintain relationships with families, children, and young people to promote positive outcomes.
- Participate in court processes, including the preparation of court documents and attending court.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in child protection and family support.
- Completed or in the final semester of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- A valid driver's licence (P1 or above) and a paid working with children clearance number.
- Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing priorities.
- A rewarding salary from $79,032 to $109,194 per annum, plus superannuation and annual leave loading.
