Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to reports of safety concerns surrounding children or young people who may have been harmed.
  • Work collaboratively with families, other agencies, and stakeholders to develop and implement safety plans.
  • Conduct home visits and assessments to identify and address safety and well-being concerns.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with families, children, and young people to promote positive outcomes.
  • Participate in court processes, including the preparation of court documents and attending court.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in child protection and family support.
Requirements
  • Completed or in the final semester of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • A valid driver's licence (P1 or above) and a paid working with children clearance number.
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing priorities.
