Instrumentation and Electrical Technician

We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) Technician to join our team on the APLNG project in Western Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading international construction company, delivering iconic projects across all key sectors of the construction industry.

  • This role will involve low voltage and instrument pre-commissioning and SAT, including LV, UPS and battery testing, telemetry systems, Wimax, LTE and Fibre optic communications network testing, VSD configuration and testing, pre-commissioning and SAT of all site equipment, fault finding and rectification.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring compliance with Hazardous Area installation standards.
  2. Assisting the Electrical construction team when required.
  3. E nsuring all required quality documentation is completed on the Client's electronic construction and completions systems (CCMS), including FICs, ITRs, As-builts reports and punch lists.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A QLD Electrical trade qualification, LV rescue and CPR qualifications.
  • Cert III or IV instrumentation, Cert III highly regarded.
  • Installation and Maintenance of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA).
  • 5 years + post trade experience on a large-scale Oil & Gas project.
  • A current QLD Driver's license.
  • An understanding and demonstrated commitment to OH&S, risk management and hazard identification.
