super)Contract: 6-month initial contract As the Projects Safety & Environment Advisor, you'll play a critical role in integrating HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) delivery across a portfolio of upstream projects.
You'll work directly with construction and operational teams to embed safety and environmental compliance into frontline activities—protecting both people and the environment.
Key Responsibilities Provide visible on-site S&E leadership and guidance to construction and project teams Deliver fit-for-purpose HSSE strategies, insights, and assurance at the point of risk Foster a strong culture of safety accountability and continuous improvement Drive consistency and embed risk-based thinking, using Assist & Assure principles Partner with contractors and internal stakeholders to support project delivery Facilitate hazard identification, incident investigations, and workforce engagement initiatives Ensure compliance with WHS, P&G, and DETSI regulatory requirements Represent asset interests in interactions with regulators and third parties About You You're an S&E professional who thrives in field-based roles and enjoys working shoulder-to-shoulder with operations and project teams.
You're solutions-focused, confident in your expertise, and passionate about influencing culture through both coaching and assurance.
You'll bring: Strong S&E experience in Oil & Gas, construction, mining, or heavy industry A Bachelor's degree, Grad Dip, or equivalent in HSE, Environmental Science, Engineering (desirable)Knowledge of Queensland WHS and environmental legislation Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Experience with contractor HSSE management and assurance A proactive mindset and willingness to work at the frontline Courage to raise issues constructively while supporting delivery outcome This position requires the full right to work in Australia.
