Electrical Technician Opportunity

At our organization, we are committed to delivering next-generation infrastructure that better connects people and transforms communities. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our project team.

The successful candidate will work on various electrical systems, including gas gathering wellsites low voltage and instrument pre-commissioning and SAT. They will be responsible for testing LV, UPS, and battery systems, as well as telemetry systems, Wimax, LTE, and Fibre optic communications networks. Additionally, they will configure and test VSDs, perform pre-commissioning and SAT of all site equipment, and assist with fault finding and rectification.

This is a full-time opportunity based onsite on an 18 days on 10 days off roster from Brisbane. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will work in a dynamic environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Requirements:

  • QLD Electrical trade qualification, LV rescue, and CPR qualifications
  • Cert III or IV instrumentation (Cert III highly regarded)
  • Installation and Maintenance of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA)
  • 5+ years post-trade experience on a large-scale Oil & Gas project
  • Current QLD Driver's license
  • Understanding and demonstrated commitment to OH&S, risk management, and hazard identification
