About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) technician to join our project team. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Brisbane with an 18 days on, 10 days off roster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-commissioning and site acceptance testing (SAT) of low voltage and instrument systems, including LV, UPS, battery testing, telemetry systems, WiMAX, LTE, fibre optic communications network testing, variable speed drive configuration and testing.
  • Pre-commissioning and SAT of all site equipment.
  • Fault finding and rectification.
  • Compliance with hazardous area installation standards.
  • Providing assistance to the electrical construction team as required.
  • Maintaining high quality documentation in electronic construction and completions systems.

Requirements:

  • A Queensland electrical trade qualification, LV rescue and CPR qualifications.
  • A Certificate III or IV in instrumentation, with a Certificate III highly regarded.
  • Installation and Maintenance of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) certification.
  • At least five years post-trade experience on large-scale oil and gas projects.
  • A current Queensland driver's license.
  • A demonstrated commitment to occupational health and safety, risk management, and hazard identification.
