About the Role

The JPL Group, the largest specialty jewellery retail chain in Australia, is seeking an experienced HR professional to join our Summer Hill based team as a Group Human Resources Business Partner.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about Human Resources and retail, with a focus on recruitment, selection, onboarding and induction.

As a key member of the HR team, you will contribute to effectively and efficiently develop, execute, and evolve key functions within the HR department in line with the company's broader strategic direction.

With a primary focus on the early stages of the employee life cycle, your passion and understanding will set you apart and set you up for success in this newly created role.

As an excellent communicator and mentor, you will relish the opportunity to apply your skills in Human Resources within a customer-focused environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent
  • Designing and delivering training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of Team Members
  • Providing guidance and support to Managers to ensure effective people management practices
  • Collaborating with the HR team to develop and implement HR policies and procedures

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or equivalent
  • At least 8 years of experience in HR, with a minimum of 2 years in a Business Partner or equivalent role
  • Experience in the fast-paced retail or hospitality industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for learning and development, with the ability to present to senior leaders
