Monash Health Customer Service Liaison

This is a full-time, ongoing role for a Customer Service Liaison to work at Monash Medical Centre Clayton. The successful candidate will be part of the Revenue Services team and play a crucial role in ensuring correct patient classification and maximising revenue to Monash Health.
About the RoleThe key responsibilities of this role include speaking with patients and their families regarding their election choices, performing private health eligibility checks, liaising with clinical staff, and updating relevant systems with up-to-date information.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, clinicians, insurers, and colleagues to ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork.
- Perform thorough private health eligibility checks to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Liaise with clinical staff to obtain necessary information and complete required certificates.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and submitted to Revenue Services in a timely manner.
- Update iPM, EMR, and PBRC with up-to-date information as needed.
To succeed in this role, you will have a proven ability to learn and apply knowledge related to customer service and excel at multitasking with keen attention to detail. You should demonstrate critical self-evaluation and reflection, maintaining a professional and respectful demeanour, and exhibit consistent and reliable performance.
- Experience in a customer service role or a similar field, with the ability to strike up conversations with anyone.
- Intermediate skills with computer software, including Microsoft Office applications, and experience with iPM.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to report and present information effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
