As the Program Delivery Director, you will be responsible for managing the Program Delivery team, ensuring the successful delivery of major capital projects, including civils and properties. Your leadership will be critical in setting high technical and project management standards, drawing on your extensive experience in program management within the construction and local government sectors.
You will provide clear direction and coaching to your team, fostering skill development and establishing consistent practices to enhance performance. Your role will also involve building and maintaining key relationships with internal clients, stakeholders, and external partners, ensuring seamless project progression and effective communication.
In addition to managing the team, you will monitor contract performance, manage risks, and implement strategies to achieve successful project outcomes. Your commercial acumen will be essential in ensuring the robustness of all project dealings.

What You Will Be Working On:
- Major Projects: Lead the delivery of significant civils and building projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

- Community Focus: Understand and integrate community needs into project planning and execution, ensuring outcomes that benefit our residents.
- Commercial Acumen: Ensure commercial and contractual robustness in all project dealings, drawing from your proven experience.
What You Will Achieve:
- Safe and Sustainable Project Delivery: Establish processes and promote a strong culture of safety and environmental care, ensuring controls are in place to address risks associated with major projects.
- Effective Procurement and Contract Management: Select suppliers based on City requirements, manage commercial negotiations, and ensure compliance with legislative and policy requirements.
- High Performing Team: Lead and coach a multidisciplinary project team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, identifying opportunities for improvement and addressing performance issues.
To Be Successful, You Will Need:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Extensive experience in program and project management within the construction/local government industries.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (civil, building, or structural) or related disciplines, with relevant professional registrations.
- Strong understanding of procurement, contract management, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental sustainability.
