The Role

As a 2IC or Second in Charge, you will assist the Director of Service in delivering an exceptional experience for the children in our care. This includes:

  • Assisting with the creation and implementation of enriching experiences based on the preferences of the children in your program (programming)
  • Supporting compliance with industry regulations
  • Interacting with parents and responding to their enquiries whenever possible
  • Engaging with the school community by attending events and assemblies when the Director is unavailable
  • Playing and having fun with primary school-aged children
  • Co-managing or coordinating during the school holiday program

You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about kids, has loads of energy, and can just love to have fun. You should be a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a positive attitude. Ideally, you have previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is not essential – we can train you.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A degree or diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or a related field
  • Stable, permanent part-time hours up to 25 hours per week

This position comes with a competitive salary of AU$55,000 - AU$65,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will also receive:
