Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide person-centered support that promotes residents' independence and ensures their overall well-being.
  2. Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and medication management.
  3. Create a vibrant living environment by planning and facilitating recreational and social activities that foster social connections and meaningful interactions.
  4. Be a compassionate listener and a source of emotional support, providing a sense of security and belonging.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized living space for residents, assisting with household chores, laundry, and other tasks that contribute to a comfortable living environment.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough records of daily activities, progress, and incidents, ensuring effective communication and care continuity.
  7. Possess the ability to respond calmly and effectively in challenging situations or emergencies, showcasing quick thinking and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • NDIS Workers Orientation Module (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid Australian Driver's License
  • Victorian Working with Children Check (employee status) or willingness to obtain
  • Current CPR & First Aid certificate
  • Qualification in Disability, Community Services, Social Work or equivalent (desirable)
