Residential Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities- Provide person-centered support that promotes residents' independence and ensures their overall well-being.
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Create a vibrant living environment by planning and facilitating recreational and social activities that foster social connections and meaningful interactions.
- Be a compassionate listener and a source of emotional support, providing a sense of security and belonging.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space for residents, assisting with household chores, laundry, and other tasks that contribute to a comfortable living environment.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of daily activities, progress, and incidents, ensuring effective communication and care continuity.
- Possess the ability to respond calmly and effectively in challenging situations or emergencies, showcasing quick thinking and problem-solving skills.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- NDIS Workers Orientation Module (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Australian Driver's License
- Victorian Working with Children Check (employee status) or willingness to obtain
- Current CPR & First Aid certificate
- Qualification in Disability, Community Services, Social Work or equivalent (desirable)
