Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Operational Lead with exceptional organisational expertise to manage a team of 4-6 field technicians and provide operational support.

This individual will be responsible for managing the workflow, ensuring efficient task completion, and providing guidance to staff members.

  • Recruitment and Training: Identify suitable candidates, conduct interviews, and develop training programs to enhance staff skills and productivity.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, process payments, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Organisational Process Management: Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and increase productivity.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to empower and inspire their team to achieve exceptional results.

About the Role:

This position is part of a larger technical operations team, working on various instrumentation networks across Australia.

  • Rain Radars
  • Automatic Weather Stations (AWS)
  • Sea Level Monitoring Stations
  • Wave and Wave height buoys
  • Satellite ground reception and space weather instruments
  • Flood warning/rainfall monitoring systems
  • Cooperative observers, volunteer rainfall stations
  • Communications, telemetry, and instrumentation systems
