Job Role Overview

The Human Resources Business Partner is a key role within the organization, responsible for managing HR operations and providing strategic guidance to senior management.

This is a temporary position that will commence immediately and continue until the end of the financial year. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in an ASO 5 - 6 classification and will have experience in employee and industrial relations, leadership development, and workforce management.

  • Develop and implement HR strategies to align with business objectives
  • Provide expert advice and support to managers on employee relations, performance management, and award interpretation
  • Coach and develop managers to enhance their leadership capabilities
  • Analyze and develop HR metrics to inform business decisions
  • Design and implement communication and engagement initiatives to promote organizational goals
  • Support talent acquisition across the region as required

Strong interpersonal skills are essential for this role, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Strategy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategic initiatives aligned with business objectives
  • Employee Relations Support: Provide expert advice and support to managers on employee relations, performance management, and award interpretation
  • Leadership Development: Coach and develop managers to enhance their leadership capabilities and contribute to the development of high-performing teams
  • Workforce Management: Analyze and develop HR metrics to inform business decisions and support workforce planning initiatives
  • Communication and Engagement: Design and implement communication and engagement initiatives to promote organizational goals and values
Requirements
  • Operational Experience: Proven operational experience in HR or a related field, with a focus on employee and industrial relations, leadership development, and workforce management
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategic initiatives
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
