Job Opportunity: Drive National Livestock Strategies

This is an exciting opportunity to drive national livestock, wool, and grain strategies on a permanent, full-time basis.

The successful applicant will be responsible for integrating with key teams across the business to support and implement national livestock, wool, and grain strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting implementation of national livestock, wool, and grain strategies
  • Delivering operational support to the network, including management of the livestock data maintenance team
  • Identifying and implementing improvement activities for agency operations
  • Assisting in preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Working with state agency leadership teams to grow and manage the agency business
  • Collaborating with internal audit and legal to address potential risks within the agency

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A solid understanding of Australian agriculture (particularly livestock & wool)
  • Tertiary qualification in business/finance/agriculture or similar
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to develop effective working relationships across multiple teams
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable engaging with multiple stakeholders
  • Sound judgement and commercial awareness to drive business performance
  • Results-oriented; able to work in a multi-task environment, managing multiple priorities while delivering results
