Indigenous Cultural Engagement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Indigenous Cultural Engagement Officer to join our team at Onpoint 365. As an Indigenous owned Recruitment Agency, we are committed to promoting Indigenous culture and facilitating community engagement initiatives.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting Indigenous culture and facilitating community engagement initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with Indigenous communities to develop cultural programs and initiatives.
- Facilitating cultural awareness training and workshops for government staff and stakeholders.
- Supporting the development and implementation of policies and initiatives to promote Indigenous cultural preservation and celebration.
- Engaging with Indigenous Elders and community leaders to ensure their voices are heard and respected.
- Providing advice and guidance on Indigenous cultural protocols and practices to internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- To identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
- A deep understanding and appreciation of Indigenous culture and traditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Indigenous communities.
- Knowledge of government policies and programs related to Indigenous affairs.
- A commitment to reconciliation and promoting Indigenous voices and perspectives.
- Experience in community engagement or cultural development roles preferred.
