About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Engagement Officer to join our team at Programmed. As an Engagement Officer, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with our clients and stakeholders, particularly in the Indigenous community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to engage with Indigenous communities and stakeholders, including travel to remote locations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and community organizations.
- Provide high-quality advice and support to our clients and stakeholders, including identifying opportunities and facilitating cooperation.
- Make informed decisions using professional judgment, evaluating risks in a complex and changing environment.
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor messages and information for diverse audiences.
- Organized and able to contribute to activities, including attention to detail and delivering results.
- Ability to identify problems and work to resolve them.
- Strong commitment to working harmoniously within a team to achieve positive results.
- Understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples and ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with them.
