About the Role
  • You will report to the Team Leader Construction and support the construction and maintenance of Council's road and transport infrastructure.
  • You will undertake manual laboring tasks, operate small tools and machinery, and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, safe, and compliant outcomes.
  • You will contribute to projects outdoors in a dynamic environment and help improve safety, accessibility, and liveability for the region.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in construction and/or maintenance (roads and drainage) with the use of small handheld tools, equipment, and machinery relevant to the field.
  • Proven ability to follow instructions within a team environment and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to use computer applications and operate devices to support field productivity and scheduling-based systems.
  • Effective communication with key stakeholders in delivering operational and maintenance services.
  • Hold and maintain C Class Drivers Licence, Traffic Control Combo (Stop/Slow Bat and Implement Traffic Plans) and WHS Induction Card; willingness to obtain Level 1 Accredited Chainsaw course within 12 months of employment.
