Perinatal Mental Health Specialist

This role entails providing senior clinical leadership and direct care to individuals experiencing mental health issues during pregnancy or in the first two years of life.
The ideal candidate will deliver time-limited, intensive perinatal and infant mental health care including home visiting, clinic appointments, and in-reach as part of a multidisciplinary team. They will also engage in consultation with stakeholders to support service delivery and practice improvement.
Main Responsibilities- Lead clinical teams and provide direct patient care for individuals with severe, acute, or complex mental health conditions.
- Coordinate and deliver intensive perinatal and infant mental health care, including home visits, clinic appointments, and outreach services.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery and professional development.
- Pursue opportunities for education and professional growth within the organization.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Nursing, with relevant postgraduate clinical experience in mental health.
- Substantial postgraduate clinical experience working with families of infants in the perinatal period facing severe and complex psychosocial and psychiatric issues.
- Exceptional negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills.
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, applying advanced reasoning and independent professional judgment to novel, complex, or critical situations.
