This is an opportunity for an insurance litigator to join a national team of 30 lawyers led by 3 Partners. The team boasts tenure with most lawyers having 5+ years with the group. A collegiate group that works well together despite the distances. The team also embraces flexible work arrangements.

In this role, you will be litigating in the human services sectors of people with vulnerabilities. Day-to-day work will include:

  • Dealing with internal disputes in NFPs;
  • Advising and representing respondents in historical institutional child-sexual abuse claims;
  • Acting for non-government schools, churches, aged care, and disability providers in respect of litigated disputes and regulatory matters;
  • Being involved in Coronial Inquests;
  • Advising and acting for out-of-home care providers.

Suitability:

  • 2+ years of experience in insurance litigation or civil litigation;
  • Excellent communication skills are a must;
  • Ability to display strong empathy and build strong rapport with stakeholders;
  • Solid academics.
