About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CG Supervisor to join our team at DNEG. As a key member of our visual effects team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of high-quality computer-generated imagery (CGI) for our feature film and television projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of talented artists in the production of CGI assets, setting up a working shot pipeline and delivering high-quality CG elements for shots on your project.
  • Collaborate with production teams and show leads/supervisors to ensure good communication and clear understanding of creative aims and objectives.
  • Contribute to the bidding and crewing process for your project, providing feedback on crew and pipeline requirements.
  • Develop and implement creative solutions to complex problems, working closely with R&D teams to provide and deploy new tool specifications in a production environment.
  • Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results under pressure.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CG Supervisor or Sequence Supervisor working on high-end live-action VFX projects.
  • Excellent creative eye and aesthetic judgment.
  • Strong ability to interpret client vision and relay it to internal teams of artists.
  • Ability to sell creative solutions and ideas to clients.
  • Thorough understanding of the complete VFX pipeline.
  • Good history of collaborating with R&D teams and providing, testing, and deploying new tool specifications in a production environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Expert in Maya and proficient in other industry-standard software.
