About This Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee underground mining activities, manage planning and surveying teams, and ensure the safe delivery of operational plans. Your focus will be on prioritizing resources, supporting production, and maintaining a safe working environment.

This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team by setting performance objectives and ensuring statutory and safety compliance
  • Coordinate mining and development activities in alignment with daily plans and operational targets
  • Support the Mining Manager in delivering mine design plans and rolling schedules to achieve budgeted outcomes and long-term goals
  • Ensure technical processes and mine design protocols are followed to safely deliver operational plans
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and cost savings across the operation
  • Maintain a safe working environment through regular safety reviews and adherence to industry standards

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in mining or geotechnical engineering
  • Proven ability to successfully lead teams in delivering executable mine plans and schedules
  • Strong experience and background in mine technical services
  • Proficiency in a range of mine scheduling and design software
  • Current C-class manual driver's licence
