About the role: We are looking for an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join our team.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality technical outcomes, mentoring junior engineers, and helping to shape the future of our business.
This role offers variety On site (FIFO/DIDO) – working directly with clients to provide engineering support and solve operational challenges.
In projects – collaborating with MEC colleagues to deliver mine planning solutions, schedules, and reports.
What you will be doing Solving moderate to complex mining problems autonomously and providing practical solutions.
Developing mine plans, designs, and schedules using leading software.
Delivering high-quality, timely outputs that meet client expectations and MEC's standards.
Engaging directly with clients to understand needs, identify issues early, and build long-term relationships.
Mentoring and supporting less experienced engineers.
Identifying opportunities for business improvement and contributing to industry networking and business development.
What we are looking for: Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent).
6+ years post-graduate experience, including at least 3 years on site.
Background in surface metals with exposure to design, scheduling, drill & blast, or grade control.
Strong mine planning and scheduling skills.
Confident in Vulcan and/or Alastri suite (Deswik, Ventsim, Micromine, Spry experience also valued).
