Lead Technical Services Expert

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Technical Services expert to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a landmark project in APAC and contribute to the early stages of production.

This role involves leading a multidisciplinary technical services team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and safety, and developing in-country local skills.

The successful candidate will have expertise in mine planning, surveying, geotechnical engineering, and leadership experience. A strong understanding of mine design, operational strategies, and life-of-mine objectives is essential.

This position requires a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related field, with at least 8-10 years of experience in open cut mining. The ideal candidate will be an experienced user of mine planning software, have knowledge of drill & blast practices, and understand survey and geotechnical practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a multidisciplinary technical services team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Develop in-country local skills.
  • Assist in overseeing development and implementation of mine plans.
  • Standardize mine planning processes and systems.
  • Ensure mine designs are safe and cost-effective.
  • Provide technical input into operational planning and budgeting processes.
  • Review and sign off mine plans and designs.
