Job Overview

The Field Engineer position is a key role within the organization, responsible for delivering events on site to key clients and assisting remotely for self-service events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Engineering team to deliver successful events by updating hardware and software as needed.
  • Build relationships with venue/event management and employees, both short-term and long-term.
  • Drive critical projects and escalations, ensuring timely completion and effective communication.
  • Collaborate effectively with interstate teams to enhance service delivery efficiency.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications, software, and hardware infrastructure in venues and ticket offices.
  • Coordinate with client managers to ensure all staff and equipment requirements are met without exceeding agreement terms.
  • Record comprehensive bug and issue reports for the Field Engineering department.
  • Maintain an up-to-date asset register of all facility and personal equipment.
  • Update IT documentation related to event services for distribution to staff and clients as needed.
  • Assist with QA when introducing new event services systems.
  • Provide on-the-job training for temporary employees, volunteers, and subcontractors as required.
  • Contribute to planning logistics for supported events, including equipment and courier arrangements.
  • Support temporary employees on-site at events and serve as a point of contact for any ticketing issues.
  • Control daily box office reconciliation as necessary.
  • Handle setup, bump-in and bump-out of events for access control and ticket sales.
  • Ensure the knowledge base remains current and oversee continuous training.
  • Offer after-hours on-call support as part of a rotating roster with the Event Services team.
  • Provide IT support to ensure access control and box office systems function correctly.
  • Offer technical assistance to various company levels, both internally and externally.
  • Provide venue support, including weekend assistance, for permanent and movable sites and events.
