The role of a Year Level Coordinator is to ensure the pastoral needs of students within their year level are met. This involves working closely with Homeroom teachers to deliver an evidence-based student wellbeing curriculum that aligns with the school's strategic approach.
With knowledge of contemporary student wellbeing practices, the Year Level Coordinator will create a supportive, safe, and inspiring environment that promotes the school's vision, values, policies, and procedures. They will be recognized and respected by colleagues, parents, and community members as an exemplary teacher who demonstrates consistent and innovative student wellbeing practices.
The Year Level Coordinator will work under the direction of the Director of Student Wellbeing and other leadership staff to implement the School Strategic Plan. They will contribute to a whole-school approach to wellbeing by overseeing students' holistic development and engagement, and assisting in the design, implementation, and evaluation of wellbeing curriculum.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor of Education degree or higher
- Current registration, or immediate eligibility for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
As a member of the Student Wellbeing Team, the Year Level Coordinator will have opportunities for professional growth and development. They will work in close partnership with other Year Level Coordinators, the Director of Student Wellbeing, and the Head of Teaching and Learning to ensure that the educational experience reflects the school's values and vision.
The position offers a leadership allowance at Level 3 and 0.35, as well as Homeroom or equivalent time release. The teacher roles are ongoing (1.0 FTE), while the position of responsibility is fixed term, commencing on January 27, 2026, and concluding on January 19, 2029.
