About this Opportunity
As a Career Development Specialist, you will use your skills to support and guide clients to attain suitable employment opportunities that lead to sustainable outcomes.
You will use your communication skills to build rapport with your clients, assist them on their employment journey and to overcome barriers to employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders as part of managing the referral process of job seekers into programs
- Assessment of job seeker skills, abilities, identification of barriers and intervention strategies
- In consultation with our job seekers, developing work preparation strategies, job seeking strategies, tailored interventions (including other service providers) and employment support activities
- Marketing job seekers to achieve sustainable employment outcomes
- Providing pre-employment assistance through vocational guidance, training, job search skills, and work trials to increase capacity for employment
Skills and Qualifications
You are self-driven, resilient, and experienced in Customer Service. You love a challenge and have the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Experience within the Employment Services sector is advantageous, however not essential as we provide strong induction and support networks.
Requirements
- Strong Communication skills, attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to use computer systems, excellent data accuracy & note taking
- Building rapport, growing & maintaining relationships with clients, peers, & jobseekers
- Enjoy achieving key performance indicators - securing meaningful work for vulnerable individuals
- Hold a current NDIS Worker Screening check or be willing to obtain one
