Job Title: Senior Career Development Specialist

We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader to develop and implement forward-thinking career development strategies, programs, and resources that support diverse student cohorts across all faculties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the university's student career development team, aligning with institutional goals for student employability and graduate success.
  • Develop and implement innovative career development programs and resources that meet the needs of diverse student cohorts.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with students, industry, alumni, academic staff, and professional bodies to expand employment and experiential career development opportunities.
  • Lead a high-performing team of career development professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Use data and insights to evaluate service effectiveness, inform strategic planning, and report on graduate outcomes and impact.
  • Represent Curtin Careers in university-wide committees, working groups, and external forums.

Selection Criteria:

  • Strategic and people-focused leader with a passion for student success and an understanding of the career development landscape.
  • Proven experience in managing career services, student engagement, or employability programs within a tertiary education or similar environment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across various stakeholders, particularly academic.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage change, and deliver high-impact programs and services.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualification in career development, learning and/or organisational development, education, business, human resources, or a related field.
