About the Role

This is a sessional teaching position in the Diploma IT program at UTS College. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering face-to-face tutorials and workshops at our Sydney campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching
    • Prepare, deliver, and facilitate tutorials and workshops as outlined in the curriculum for the subject area of expertise.
    • Grade assignments, tests, examinations, and other assessment items as required.
    • Provide detailed, timely, and meaningful feedback to students.
  • General Duties
    • Provide early learning support and referrals as needed to UTS College Study Success Advisors.
    • Participate in professional development activities in consultation with the Academic Coordinator and Program Manager.
    • Attend staff and subject meetings as required.
  • Team Liaison and Collaboration
    • Establish ongoing channels of communication with Academic Coordinators, Study Success Advisors, the Program Manager, and academic colleagues to ensure consistent quality of teaching.
    • Participate in moderation activities.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in the field.
  • 5 years+ experience in industry practice or postgraduate qualifications in the field.
  • Relevant demonstrated experience of teaching in a higher education environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to innovative learning and teaching practices, including a willingness to engage with contemporary approaches to content delivery.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple demands to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy.
