
Aboriginal Vaccination Specialist

This part-time position is an opportunity to contribute to stronger, healthier futures for Aboriginal children and families across the Central Coast.
As a key member of our Public Health team, you will work closely with local organisations and health providers to improve access to immunisation services and vaccination rates.
You will deliver education and vaccinations in both inpatient and outpatient settings, protecting the community and reducing the impact of vaccine-preventable diseases.
We are seeking a Registered Nurse/Midwife with knowledge of best practice immunisation principles and guidelines, particularly in regards to Aboriginal health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver education and vaccinations to patients in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Work closely with local organisations and health providers to improve access to immunisation services
- Contribute to data collection and analysis to inform public health strategies
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife with AHPRA
- NSW Accreditation as an Authorised Nurse/Midwife Immuniser, or working towards accreditation (training can be supported by an internal scholarship)
- Knowledge of best practice immunisation principles and guidelines, with an understanding of Aboriginal health needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Aboriginal families, community members, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to working within professional and ethical boundaries in a team-based healthcare environment
- Current NSW Driver's Licence
