Nursing Opportunity for a Healthier Community

Job Description:

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal families across the Central Coast.

The successful candidate will be part of the WAVE (Working to Advance Vaccine Equity) Program, working closely with a dedicated Public Health team focused on improving access to immunisation services and lifting vaccination rates.

The role involves delivering education and vaccinations in both inpatient and outpatient settings, protecting the community and reducing the impact of vaccine-preventable diseases. This is a part-time position, working Monday to Friday with flexible hours.

Working hand-in-hand with local organisations and health providers, you will play a key role in improving the health of Aboriginal families and community on the Central Coast.

About You
  • You must have current registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife with AHPRA.
  • NSS Accreditation as an Authorised Nurse/Midwife Immuniser, or working towards accreditation (training can be supported by an internal scholarship).
  • Knowledge of best practice immunisation principles and guidelines, with an understanding of Aboriginal health needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Aboriginal families, community members, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to working within professional and ethical boundaries in a team-based healthcare environment.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence.
