Imagine making a meaningful contribution to the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal children and families across the Central Coast. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to join a dedicated Public Health team focused on improving access to immunisation services and lifting vaccination rates.
- You will deliver education and vaccinations that protect the community and reduce the impact of vaccine-preventable diseases.
- Deliver immunisations in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Provide education to clients and families on vaccine-preventable diseases.
- Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal children and families.
About You
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife with AHPRA is required.
- National Accreditation as an Authorised Nurse/Midwife Immuniser is necessary, or you can be working towards accreditation (training can be supported by an internal scholarship).
- Knowledge of best practice immunisation principles and guidelines, with an understanding of Aboriginal health needs, is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Aboriginal families, community members, and multidisciplinary teams, are also required.
- Commitment to working within professional and ethical boundaries in a team-based healthcare environment is expected.
- A Current NSW Driver's Licence is also necessary.
