About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Indigenous Employment Manager to lead our efforts in promoting diversity and inclusion across the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

Job Description
  • Lead and manage initiatives that promote Indigenous employment, including recruitment, training, and retention strategies.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify and support Indigenous job opportunities across various departments.
  • Provide mentoring and career development programs to support the professional growth of Indigenous employees.
  • Foster strong relationships with external Indigenous organisations, communities, and networks to attract talent and maintain positive partnerships.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on the success of Indigenous employment initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement.

This role requires a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and a proven track record in delivering successful employment initiatives. The successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and be able to build trust and maintain strong relationships with First Nations stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in recruitment, training and employment practices and processes.
  • Ability to advocate for Indigenous employment issues at all levels of the organization, influencing policy changes that support diversity and inclusion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive, results-driven approach with a passion for making a difference.
What We Offer
  • An estimated salary of AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
