This versatile position plays a crucial role in efficiently supporting operations and the People & Culture team with HR-related tasks, particularly focusing on the selection and recruitment of new personnel across the SeaLink - K'gari Group.

The position entails managing a successful high-volume recruitment process, ensuring a strong alignment with the ideal candidate profile.

This is a permanent, full-time salaried position requiring 38 hours of work per week, from Monday to Friday. It includes a commute via ferry.

Core Responsibilities
  • Manage general HR activities across various platforms.
  • Oversee all aspects of recruitment advertising, screening, shortlisting, interviews, reference checks, and visa verifications.
  • Prepare and verify employment contracts.
  • Coordinate job vacancies in collaboration with the People & Culture Manager, ensuring alignment with organizational and departmental structures as well as budgetary considerations.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Handle communications with unsuccessful candidates as required.
  • Assist team members with payroll and People & Culture inquiries.
  • Support team members with uniform ordering and distribution.
  • Maintain personnel records.
  • Provide payroll administration and collaborate with relevant stakeholders.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders and work collaboratively.
  • Perform additional duties or projects as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in human resources or hospitality (preferred) or relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Ideal for individuals currently in an administrative HR position seeking career advancement.
  • Demonstrated success in high-volume end-to-end recruitment, particularly in the hospitality or tourism sectors.
  • Familiarity with modern recruitment platforms is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Proactive attitude and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
