The purpose of the Human Resource Officer role is to provide high-quality and timely operational HR support and advice to Directors, Managers and staff across North Coast Region across a full range of human resource management functions. You will work closely with another HR Officer to manage recruitment of the region's vacancies and support selection panels to deliver successful recruitment outcomes.Key responsibilities: - Provide accurate and timely advice, and workforce management support for routine operations and situations that align with legislation, directives, policies and procedures. This includes but is not limited to: --Recruitment and selection.-Establishment management.-Remuneration and conditions. Apply an understanding of recruitment and selection policies and procedures, to independently undertake operational recruitment activities. Provide advice and support on the development and review of role descriptions for positions to ensure they meet business needs and departmental requirements. Provide advice and support on workforce management related processes and strategies to ensure compliance with local and departmental policies and procedures, as well as whole-of-government legislation. Maintain a highly professional relationship with both internal and external stakeholders with a focus on providing exceptional service. Assist with the monitoring and reporting of the region's establishment, fulltime equivalent figures (FTE) and staffing arrangements. Prepare and manage the accurate and timely completion of forms and documentation required to action routine human resource management matters. Maintain accurate human resource management information systems (SAP HR, spreadsheets, organisational charts). Assist with the development and implementation of ideas/opportunities to improve HR business processes. Maintain a network of HR professionals, both internally and externally and work cooperatively across the department.Mandatory qualifications and conditions: - Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.Requirements of the role: - Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, enterprise agreements, awards, policies and practices, in relation to contemporary human resource practice, particularly within the Queensland Public Sector. Demonstrates interpersonal savvy, manages conflict appropriately, communicates effectively and balances the needs of all stakeholders with utmost respect to all people at all times. Capacity to prioritise tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Shows resilience and can navigate ambiguity to deliver outcomes in a complex and changing environment.
