Job Title: Senior Payroll Compliance Specialist

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Compliance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll tax compliance and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and ensure accuracy of payroll tax rates in Workday.
  • Partner with Alight Tax Filing Services and HRIT to update and correct payroll tax setup for each legal entity and jurisdiction.
  • Perform monthly/quarterly review of tax filing package to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Work with Payroll Accounting to ensure alignment and reconciliation with G/L.
  • Manage and reconcile payroll taxes at the employer and employee level.
  • Ensure timely remittances to tax authorities and accurate reporting of withholding taxes.
  • Reconcile QTD and YTD tax amounts withheld, reported, and deposited on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Manage SUI rate updates and ensure updates are in Workday.
  • Complete and submit applications for new tax jurisdictions and closing jurisdictions.
  • Research and resolve payroll tax notices for multi-state tax entities.
  • Support internal and external audit data requests.
  • Partner with Payroll Accounting to research open G/L items and identify new risk areas.

  • Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and laws.
