Lime Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Program Director to lead the successful delivery of a significant program comprising multiple large-scale, complex, and high-risk projects.
Key Responsibilities- Program Oversight: Ensure the program of work set out in the work breakdown structure includes necessary and sufficient activities that will create deliverables that conform to requirements.
- Team Leadership: Lead, manage, or direct an expert team of multi-disciplinary project directors, project managers, and other project staff within the policies and practices.
- Project Integration: Ensure Project Directors, Principal Project Managers, and Senior Project Managers undertake appropriate planning, budgeting, project management, reporting, consultation, and risk management.
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure the approach taken by the Program and all related sub-projects integrate with the strategic direction and participate in, influence, work collaboratively with, and align to all relevant whole-of-government IM/ICT initiatives.
- Client Engagement: Direct the effective use of the client's formal project management approach to ensure project management best practices are implemented on all component projects.
- Stakeholder Management: Consult and undertake high-level, strategic negotiations with, provide expert advice to, and develop and maintain strong, effective alliances and working relationships with project teams, program sponsors, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Program Monitoring: Proactively oversee the monitoring and reporting of program-related trends and manage, monitor, and progress reporting of assigned projects within the program against the project plan(s) and budget(s).
- Leadership Experience: Demonstrated high-level leadership, conceptualization, and design of programs comprising multiple large-scale, complex, and high-risk projects.
- Program Management Skills: Proven experience within complex programs such as Patient Administration Solutions (PAS) or electronic Medical Records (eMR) within a large, complex, and distributed health care environment.
- Team Management: Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and nurture multiple multi-disciplinary project teams and demonstrated experience in managing a major program budget in the development of successful enterprise solutions.
- Negotiation and Communication Skills: Demonstrated superior negotiation, consultation, facilitation, and written and oral communication skills, with the proven ability to develop effective working and strategic relationships and partnerships with a wide variety of senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Project Management Methodologies: Demonstrated expert knowledge and application of project management methodologies and the development of associated tools, templates, procedures, etc.
- IM/ICT Knowledge: Sound knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the IM/ICT strategies, architectures, formal project management approach, and formal reporting framework and their impact on health service delivery in Queensland.
- Human Resource Management: Demonstrated ability to manage staff in line with contemporary human resource management policies, procedures, and practices.
