About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director, Program Management to join our team at Queensland Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a diverse team in program management activities for multi-stage construction contracts across a busy state-wide infrastructure portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of program managers in the delivery of public health infrastructure projects
  • Develop and implement program management strategies to ensure successful project delivery
  • Collaborate with project directors, project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to negotiate multi-stage contracts
  • Work closely with the procurement team and contract performance team to transition multi-stage contracts from design into construction delivery
  • Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports and contribute to the development of a high-performing team
Requirements
  • Proven experience in program management, preferably in the Queensland Government context
  • Extensive experience in transaction and program management processes and practices
  • Excellent people and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead and manage consultants, contractors, and multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and negotiate for success
  • Flexible and nuanced approach to problem-solving and decision-making
