Job Description

  • The role of a Package Manager is to oversee the planning, direction, and management of electrical design and supply scope packages to ensure timely delivery and specification compliance.
  • This involves managing and driving key design and supply activities of suppliers and interfacing with other project stakeholders.
  • Package Managers delegate tasks to a multi-disciplinary project team and ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard.
  • They must also ensure supplier deliverables and interrelated work are completed sequentially and in accordance with the contract and project key delivery dates.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage electrical design and supply scope packages.
  • Manage and drive key design and supply activities of suppliers.
  • Delegate tasks to a multi-disciplinary project team.
  • Ensure supplier deliverables are completed on time and to a high standard.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in procurement of electrical plant and equipment for large infrastructure projects.
  • Sound experience in electrical design practices.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong project management expertise and experience in contract management and schedule interpretation.
