About the Role

Advance your legal career by becoming a vital member of Brisbane's premier Workplace Relations, Employment, and Safety (WRES) legal practice. This full-time permanent position is designed to accommodate the growing demands of our practice. With a recent restructuring, the partners are eager to find the ideal candidate to contribute to the future success of the team.

The Brisbane WRES team provides comprehensive guidance on all facets of workplace relations, including industrial relations, employment law, occupational health and safety, and anti-discrimination. This unique role offers the selected candidate the opportunity to enhance their career by engaging in a variety of interesting cases, including industrial strategy, disputes, compliance, regulatory matters, and litigation across various courts and tribunals.

Required Skills & Experience

To excel in this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in handling a variety of employment and industrial relations cases (experience in work health and safety is advantageous but not mandatory)
  • Ability to produce clear, concise, and commercially viable legal documents and advice
  • A strong sense of purpose, ambition, and a proactive work ethic
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build relationships with clients
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, capable of engaging both internal and external stakeholders
  • A high level of initiative, dedication, and organizational skills with a client-focused approach
  • A commitment to personal development to enhance skills and knowledge in line with client needs
  • We are looking for a motivated self-starter who can work independently, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
