The Role

Grow your legal career by joining our Brisbane-based Workplace Relations and Employment law practice. This is a full-time permanent position to meet increased levels of activity and growth.

Our Brisbane Workplace Relations and Employment team advises on all aspects of employment law, including industrial relations, employment, and occupational health and safety. This unique opportunity gives the right candidate the chance to grow their career by working across varied and interesting matters – from industrial strategy and disputes, project management and support, compliance and regulatory matters, restructuring, underpayments, and litigation.

Required Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, the following attributes will be required:

  • Proven experience working on a range of employment and industrial relations matters
  • Ability to draft clear, concise, correct, and commercial advice and documents
  • A strong sense of purpose, ambition, and a proactive approach to work
  • Strong people skills; ability to communicate and build rapport with clients
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with impact to both internal contacts and external clients
  • A high degree of initiative, dedication, and organisational ability with a strong client and commercial focus
  • A proactive attitude towards personal development to expand skills and knowledge to meet client needs

The Workplace Relations and Employment team

We work with our clients across the full spectrum of the employment relationship; from recruitment through to management, and termination. Our work spans all facets of employment law, industrial relations, discrimination, work health and safety, executive remuneration, and transactional support.
