About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our Headspaces Centre in Kalgoorlie. As the Manager of this centre, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, managing staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to young people and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Delivery: Lead, develop, and evaluate service delivery to young people and their families, in accordance with the headspace grant agreement.
  • Communication and Promotion: Communicate, promote, and progress HOPE's vision, strategic plan, and regional business plan, and the purpose of headspace in collaboration with the Regional General Manager.
  • Team Management: Provide management oversight to headspace staff at the headspace Esperance Service, oversee the recruitment and selection of new staff, and ensure they are orientated to the procedures and operations of the service.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operation of the headspace Kalgoorlie Centre, manage and supervise staff, monitor performance and development, and address performance issues effectively.
  • Strategic Planning: Shape and structure a working environment that is conducive to high productivity, where all staff understand what is expected of them and how their efforts contribute to organisational success.
Requirements
  • Cultural Competence: Commitment to work in culturally secure and competent ways.
  • Qualifications: Degree level qualifications in allied health, behavioural/social sciences, youth work, mental health nursing, or a related discipline, or extensive relevant experience.
  • Operational Experience: Demonstrated substantial experience at managing and reporting on operational systems for a health or community services organisation, including effectively planning and allocating resources in order to maximise operational efficiency and meet funding deliverables.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience at managing all aspects of staff and team performance, including recruitment, staff orientation, supervision, performance reviews, staff disciplinary action, performance development, and team building.
  • Communication Skills: Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of people and professionals.
