About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our Service team at our Kalgoorlie Pump Service Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for workshop duties, including on-site mechanical repairs and inspections, ensuring our operations and workshop repairs can continue efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and refurbish used pumps, as well as assemble new pumps in the Kalgoorlie service facility, in accordance with OEM procedures.
  • Carry out hands-on service work, such as adjustments, installation, commissioning, and operation of pumps on and off customer sites.
  • Conduct and/or assist with investigations of customer failures regarding quality, tolerances, specifications, and delivered conditions of products.
  • Contribute to clients with technical evaluations and analyze equipment and machine component failures.
  • Solve practical on-the-job problems and provide solutions to customers and mechanical crews.
  • Promote company repair & service capabilities and obtain ongoing works.
  • Promote the sales and usage of MO wear and spare parts.
  • Identify sales opportunities for pumps and hydrocyclones.
Requirements
  • Experience with maintenance and/or rebuild/assembly of slurry pumps.
  • Mechanical trade qualification with at least 2 years' experience recognized in Australia.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Hold a current motor vehicle license and be able to pass random medical and drug tests.
  • Physically fit.
  • Ability to travel with short notice.
  • Ability to work away from home for extended periods and extended hours, on weekends or as required.
