
Customer Growth Specialist

We are seeking a strategic Customer Development Manager to drive profitable growth across our Agri and Independent Grocery channels.
This role is at the heart of our Strategic Channel Mix, supporting the Mars Petcare Strategy in Action. You'll be responsible for delivering against commercial targets, leading key customer partnerships, and enabling excellence in field execution – all while simplifying ways of working and driving efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own commercial performance across Agri and Independent Grocery channels, delivering against sales, trade investment, and profitability targets.
- Manage key customer accounts end-to-end, including pricing, promotions, category planning, and new product distribution.
- Lead joint business planning, building strategic partnerships to drive mutual growth and executional excellence.
- Support field execution, delivering Perfect Store activation and enabling best-in-class shopper experiences.
- Drive operational discipline, managing forecasting, claims, and trade spend in line with S&OP and finance processes.
- Use data to optimise ROI, leveraging insights to evaluate performance and continuously improve execution and investment.
Requirements:
- Strong commercial and customer management experience, ideally in FMCG or wholesale channels.
- Proven ability to build partnerships, influence stakeholders and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong grasp of financial drivers, category fundamentals, and joint business planning.
- Passion for simplification, operational discipline, and delivering results through others.
- A collaborative mindset and the agility to operate both independently and as part of a high-performing team.
- Degree in Business or Commerce preferred, but not essential.
