Strategic Financial Business Partner

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team at Ausenco.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial support and analysis to inform business decisions, including assisting in the continual analysis of financial data and ad-hoc information requests. They will also provide financial information and support for the tender process, monitor and analyze standard cost and sell rates, and participate in budgeting and forecasting duties.
The ideal candidate will have appropriate tertiary qualifications in finance or accounting and demonstrated experience in financial management, including advanced knowledge of business planning, developing costings, formulating and monitoring budgets, and financial reporting.
They will possess advanced computer skills, including ability to learn and adapt to new systems, and effective lateral thinking skills to assist with development of improved business solutions. The role requires the ability to prioritize and meet conflicting deadlines.
The salary for this position is approximately $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, and includes a competitive remuneration package, career advancement opportunities, work-life balance, holistic approach to wellness, and accessible leadership team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the continual analysis of financial data and ad-hoc information requests to identify any variances and/or trends to inform business decisions.
- Provide financial information and support for the tender process.
- Monitor, analyze and assist with calculation of standard cost and standard sell rates.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting duties, including annual and quarterly planning for business lines, along with the coordination of rolling monthly forecasting.
- Review and preparation of weekly and monthly reports/analysis of AR, WIP, DSO and Reimbursability.
- Preparation of end of month dashboards and cashflow forecasting.
- Assist project teams to ensure financial profitability and project performance.
- Liaise with regional business services to ensure accurate processing of transactional accounting/AR/Payroll and timekeeping.
The successful candidate will have:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in finance or accounting.
- Demonstrated experience in financial management, including advanced knowledge of business planning, developing costings, formulating and monitoring budgets, and financial reporting.
- Advanced computer skills, including ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
- Advanced oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective lateral thinking skills to assist with development of improved business solutions.
- Ability to prioritize and meet conflicting deadlines.
