Experienced Telecommunications Technician sought for a challenging role in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Telecommunications Specialist.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining telecommunications systems, including data cabling, CCTV, access control, intercoms, and security systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installing internal communications and data cabling, equipment, and peripherals for computer networks, telephone, cable television, and security and fire alarms;
  • Installing telecom equipment, devices, and appliances such as landline telephones, switchboards, data transmission equipment, and other related items;
  • Connecting PC, monitors, interface devices or peripherals like WI-FI, switches, and routers;
  • Locating faults in equipment and appliances using electronic instruments;
  • Measuring characteristics of wiring cables and printing protocols;
  • Programming systems to the requirements of clients;
  • Customising and measuring impedance and strength signals;
  • Attaching wires and cables to appliances and other equipment;
  • Orienting in work areas to decide the best installation of cables having regard to Telecommunication regulations;

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A current National Police Clearance;
  • A valid Drivers Licence;
  • A White Card;
  • A Security Licence and/or Open Registration Cabling Licence with current endorsements;
  • Certification in Inner Range, Tecom, or other access control systems is desirable;
  • Covid-19 and Flu Vaccination as required for work in NSW health and aged care facilities;
