Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Associate

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and facility upkeep in community healthcare units.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks for client rooms, common areas, bathrooms, kitchens, and clinical spaces.
  • Conduct scheduled deep cleans to meet infection control standards.
  • Ensure safe waste management and disposal practices.
  • Identify and report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Manage cleaning records and logs for audits and compliance purposes.
  • Coordinate property maintenance for urgent repairs or access needs.
  • Prepare units for new rentals, client discharges, and turnovers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Professional experience in cleaning or housekeeping, preferably in healthcare or aged care.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and workplace health and safety (WHS) standards.
  • Physical stamina to handle manual work and frequent movement.
  • Able to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills and record-keeping abilities.
  • Familiarity with basic computer or tablet use for checklists and task reporting.
  • Understanding of cultural safety and respectful interactions with diverse communities.
  • National Police Check and Working With Children Check required.
Desirable:
  • Certificate III in Cleaning Operations, Health Support Services, or related fields.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
