The role of a Workday HCM Functional Architect is pivotal in ensuring the success of functional area engagements. This individual serves as the primary implementation leader, providing expert guidance and delivery for these projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead multiple concurrent Workday implementations across various functional areas, such as Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, Performance, Recruiting, and Learning.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of functional area workshops and client confirmation sessions, guaranteeing efficient and accurate design and configuration of the delivered solution.
  • Act as a sounding board and provide ad-hoc advice for engagement managers and leads, while serving as an advocate and escalation point to ensure issues are being addressed.
  • Drive team members to adhere to established methodologies, such as Cynergy, to deliver high-quality Workday implementations, and provide feedback to support continuous enhancement of tools and processes.
  • Mentor junior project resources by sharing knowledge and expertise, enabling them to learn new skills and take on leadership roles in client sessions and solution configuration.
  • Establish cohesive structures and project communications for cross-functional delivery between teams, including Absence Management, Time Tracking, Payroll, Integrations, Financials, Organizational Change & Training, Data Conversion, and Reporting.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Be certified in at least two Workday subspecialities, with the ability to lead in each of these areas.
  • Have completed a minimum of 3-5 full lifecycle Workday Implementations, including large-scale Your Way implementations and regional Launch implementations.
  • Have led at least 2-3 Workday implementations across multiple HCM functional areas.
