Job Title: Biomedical Engineer

This is a full-time role for a Biomedical Engineer at an Australian pathology. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and servicing laboratory diagnostic instruments.

Your Role
  • Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of laboratory diagnostic instruments and automation systems.
  • Assist with the deployment and integration of new equipment in laboratory settings.
  • Respond to technical issues and ensure prompt resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate service records, including inventory, service orders, and reports.
  • Adhere to Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) policies and compliance regulations.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Valid driver's license and permanent work rights in Australia.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows environments; knowledge of LIS systems, Middleware Solutions, Linux, CAN-BUS, and interfacing principles is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world challenges.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate strong self-organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with customers and colleagues.
Requirements
