We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and service of laboratory diagnostic instruments.
Key Responsibilities:- Routine Maintenance and Servicing: Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of laboratory diagnostic instruments and automation systems.
- New Equipment Deployment: Assist with the deployment and integration of new equipment in laboratory settings.
- Troubleshooting and Resolution: Respond to technical issues and ensure prompt resolution to minimize downtime.
- Service Records: Maintain accurate service records, including inventory, service orders, and reports.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to Workplace Health & Safety policies and compliance regulations.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and training to customers and stakeholders.
- Process Improvements: Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Ongoing Training: Participate in training programs, including self-learning and hands-on experience.
- Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Licenses and Work Rights: Valid driver's license and permanent work rights in Australia.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Windows environments; knowledge of LIS systems, Middleware Solutions, Linux, CAN-BUS, and interfacing principles is advantageous.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world challenges.
- Work Environment: Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate strong self-organization.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Commitment: Commitment to high service quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Professional Attitude: Professional and positive attitude, ability to remain composed under pressure, and a proactive approach to learning.
