Biomedical Engineer Opportunity
About the Role- This is a Full-time Graduate Biomedical Engineer role responsible for installation, maintenance and service of laboratory diagnostic instruments.
- Perform routine maintenance, servicing and troubleshooting of laboratory diagnostic instruments and automation systems.
- Assist with the deployment and integration of new equipment in laboratory settings.
- Respond to technical issues and ensure prompt resolution to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate service records including inventory, service orders and reports.
- Adhere to Workplace Health & Safety policies and compliance regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to customers and stakeholders.
- Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Participate in training programs including self-learning and hands-on experience.
- Support on-call duties as part of a rostered system to provide 24/7 customer support.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Biomedical Engineering Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
- Valid driver's license and permanent work rights in Australia.
- Proficiency in MS Windows environments; knowledge of LIS systems Middleware Solutions Linux CAN-BUS and interfacing principles is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world challenges.
- Ability to work independently manage multiple tasks and demonstrate strong self-organization.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Commitment to high service quality compliance and continuous improvement.
- Professional and positive attitude ability to remain composed under pressure and a proactive approach to learning.
- Technical aptitude attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
- Willingness to participate in the on-call roster.
