Biomedical Engineer Opportunity

About the Role
  • This is a Full-time Graduate Biomedical Engineer role responsible for installation, maintenance and service of laboratory diagnostic instruments.
Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine maintenance, servicing and troubleshooting of laboratory diagnostic instruments and automation systems.
  2. Assist with the deployment and integration of new equipment in laboratory settings.
  3. Respond to technical issues and ensure prompt resolution to minimize downtime.
  4. Maintain accurate service records including inventory, service orders and reports.
  5. Adhere to Workplace Health & Safety policies and compliance regulations.
  6. Provide technical support and training to customers and stakeholders.
  7. Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team.
  8. Participate in training programs including self-learning and hands-on experience.
  9. Support on-call duties as part of a rostered system to provide 24/7 customer support.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Biomedical Engineering Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Valid driver's license and permanent work rights in Australia.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows environments; knowledge of LIS systems Middleware Solutions Linux CAN-BUS and interfacing principles is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world challenges.
  • Ability to work independently manage multiple tasks and demonstrate strong self-organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Commitment to high service quality compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Professional and positive attitude ability to remain composed under pressure and a proactive approach to learning.
  • Technical aptitude attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Willingness to participate in the on-call roster.
